1. What gave you the inspiration to write this book?

The idea for Revelation (The Revelation Series, Book 1), and the entire series, stemmed from my combined love of John Milton’s Paradise Lost and my affinity for architecture. Paranormal romance is my favorite genre to read, and nothing beats an epic love story in my book. Basically, I combined all those elements to created the series.

2. Who is your favorite character in the book?

McKenna. In every one of The Revelation Series books (Revelation, Restraint, Redemption and Revolution) she is always my favorite character. A lot of what comes out of her mouth, I think is me projecting how I feel in that moment - lol.

3. Which came first, the title or the novel?

The title actually came before the novel itself.

4. What scene in the book are you most proud of, and why?

In Revolution, my favorite scene is when my heroine, Eve and her love interest, Asher see one another again after how the third book, Redemption ended. It was gritty, raw and emotional and everything that I love to write about Eve and Asher in a scene.

5. Thinking way back to the beginning, what’s the most important thing you've learned as a writer from then to now?

To write what I love and would read myself. Don’t let anyone dictate what my story should look like. Everyone has an opinion, at the end of the day, the only person you have to look at in the mirror is yourself. If you like the book, and the story, then that’s all you can hope for.

6. What do you like most about the cover of the book?

My covers are visual snapshots of poignant moments within the books and stories and Revolution’s is no different. I love this cover as a whole but adore the slits of moonlight that come through the stone of the temple. It’s a theme I run throughout the written story and it’s just beautiful to see it come to life on the cover.

7. What new release book are you looking most forward to in 2015?

My girl/author crush, Jay Crownover’s Point Series, Better When He’s Brave.

8. What was your favorite book in 2014?

Play by Kylie Scott. It’s part of her Stage Dive Series.

9. What’s up next for you?

The final book within The Revelation Series, Restoration, is releasing in August of 2015. I have two new adult, contemporary romances slated for 2015/2016. My project list also includes some potential spin off stories from The Revelation Series. In addition to taking a few weeks off to spend time with my hubby and daughter whom both have been severely neglected this past year and half.

10. Is there anything that you would like to add?

Just a huge thank you for having me today, it’s been a lot of fun. As always my love and appreciation to the readers who allow me to be part of their reading libraries.

  2. I always am fascinated when an author says the title came before the novel... it must be a really unique to write a book in that manner! I absolutely love the premise, and I can't wait to read the book!
